About
Provides patient care, including obtaining vital signs, and participates in performing ordered basic wound care. Conducts day to day maintenance, including cleaning and disinfecting, on the hyperbaric chamber and related support systems. Prepares patient for treatment and performs hyperbaric chamber and related support systems operations. Collects data from patients, family, physician and clinical record along with records and reports pertinent data to RN, Safety Director and/or physician. Assesses, interprets data, and discriminates between normal and abnormal findings. Recognizes and prevents environment hazards to the patient and unit. Utilizes equipment and material in a cost-effective manner. Performs data input. Completes documentation on appropriate forms. Participates in performance improvement activities. Maintains a safe environment in the hyperbaric facility for patients and staff uses approved and recognized decompression procedures for all persons with a hyperbaric exposure to inert gases. Informs personnel of any special work conditions such as infection control, hazard control, and confined spaces. Restricts or removes any potentially hazardous supply or equipment items from the chamber.

Qualifications: Required:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proficient in Microsoft office. BLS issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross
Certified with the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology as a Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT); if not current, must be obtained within six (6) months of hire/transfer date Completion of Hyperbaric Medicine Team Training and Wound Care Course Training prior to being able to service patients
