About
Acquire and obtain access to surface and subsurface rights. Steward, monetize, and divest asset rights to maximize value and minimize risk. Develop, negotiate, and execute leases, rights-of-way, easements, and other commercial agreements. Analyze, manage, and administer contracts related to acreage, risk management, and compliance. Evaluate and recommend commercial structures supporting acquisitions, divestitures, and asset monetization. Coordinate ownership research and title verification activities. Identify, evaluate, and resolve title defects. Manage and sustain relationships with landowners, government agencies, service providers, and business partners. Support business strategy development and execution. Negotiate and manage claim and dispute resolution activities. Coordinate and oversee contract land personnel in both field and office environments. Provide support for litigation and regulatory matters.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Review internal land records and ownership documentation. Research and verify ownership using online courthouse records and public databases. Confirm ownership interests including minerals, royalties, overriding royalties, and other property interests. Analyze lease status and determine held-by-production status by depth and formation. Review and validate exhibit-level ownership and acreage data. Maintain accurate ownership records and supporting documentation. Conduct title analysis and ownership verification activities. Support acquisition, divestiture, and asset management projects. Coordinate with legal, operations, business development, and land teams. Prepare recommendations regarding ownership, lease validity, and risk exposure. Assist with dispute resolution and title curative efforts. Ensure compliance with company standards and contractual obligations.
Required Qualifications
Strong experience in oil and gas land administration, title analysis, and ownership verification. Knowledge of title research, courthouse records, alignment sheets, easements, and acquisition documentation. Experience reviewing and interpreting oil and gas leases, assignments, farmouts, and royalty interests. Proficiency in commercial negotiations and contract administration. Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills. Experience evaluating ownership interests, lease obligations, and title defects. Ability to analyze complex ownership and contractual issues. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Quorum Land. Experience with Enverus products including:
DrillingInfo Enverus Courthouse EnergyLink
Experience evaluating held-by-production status and depth rights. Experience supporting litigation and title curative projects. Experience managing contract land personnel. Knowledge of mineral, royalty, overriding royalty, and working interest ownership structures.

Particular emphasis will be placed on evaluating production status and held-by-production lease status by depth. The role will require detailed review of exhibit-level ownership data and validation of land records. Candidates must be proficient with Quorum Land and Enverus products, including DrillingInfo, Enverus Courthouse, and EnergyLink.
