About
Assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric sectors using standardized evaluation tools and observation techniques. Create individual treatment plans that cater to both short-term objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Conduct personalized speech therapy sessions focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills. Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to establish unified care approaches. Provide education for patients and families to foster progress beyond clinic visits. Assist in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapies to assure a seamless care continuum throughout the treatment timeline. Document accurately and punctually, adhering to state, federal, and institutional protocols. Keep abreast of developments in the field through continuing education and collaboration with peers. Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if ASHA certification is still pending. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment. Skills
