Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating personalized care plans Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health issues independently or in partnership with physicians based on your qualifications Guiding patients and their families in disease prevention, wellness, and effective health management strategies Prescribing appropriate medications and therapeutic interventions within your practice scope Involved in patient follow-ups and chronic care management ensuring quality continuity of care Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care Accurately documenting patient information in electronic medical records (EMR) Education Needs
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner program Credential Requirements
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Florida National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or similar credentials Possession of or ability to obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications within 90 days Skills That Make You Shine
