Job Responsibilities
Perform thorough patient evaluations, including comprehensive physical examinations and intricate medical history assessments Assist in assessing and diagnosing surgical conditions, interpreting imaging studies and laboratory results Work closely with surgeons to develop and follow individualized surgical treatment plans Provide intraoperative support, ensuring operating rooms are prepared, patient positions are optimal, and surgical tools are passed effectively during operations Deliver outstanding pre- and post-operative care, which includes medication management, wound care, discharge planning, and patient education initiatives Qualifications
Master's degree obtained from an accredited Physician Assistant program Completion of clinical rotations with a strong emphasis on surgical training highly preferred Certifications
Active and unrestricted PA-C certification BLS and ACLS certifications required State licensure (or qualification for licensure) as a Physician Assistant Skills
In-depth understanding of surgical principles alongside sterile techniques Ability to effectively interpret diagnostic results and influence complex clinical decisions Strong communication and interpersonal skills Capacity to excel in high-pressure situations, specifically during surgical instances Empathetic bedside demeanor coupled with utter respect for patient dignity and autonomy Benefits
