Job Description Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Summary: Under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct and indirect patient care within the scope of their certification. The CNA supports residents' physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs, primarily serving adult and geriatric populations. Key Responsibilities:
Assist residents with daily living activities (ADLs), including hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, and mobility. Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment; promptly respond to call lights and alarms. Support nutritional needs through meal delivery, feeding assistance, and honoring dietary preferences. Assist with rehabilitative care, including range of motion exercises, transfers, and use of assistive devices. Monitor and report changes in resident condition, concerns, or refusals to the Charge Nurse promptly. Ensure resident rights are respected and upheld at all times. Requirements: CNA certification and knowledge of age-specific care practices. Ability to document care activities per facility protocol. Understanding of infection control and safety procedures; potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
