Shift: 1st Description: We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to support the growth of our fast-paced imaging center team. MRI Technologist Responsibilities: • Performs start-up/shut down procedures as to imaging protocols • Positions patients and adjusts equipment following established protocols in the performance of MR/x-ray imaging • Instructs and monitors patients while performing MR/x-ray imaging • Follows prescribed safety standards in operating MR/x-ray imaging equipment • Selects appropriate exposure factors for patient population served and adheres to ALARA principle • Examines images for diagnostic quality before submitting for interpretation (i.e. density, contrast, definition, magnification and distortion) • Submits images to and retrieves images from PAC's system as job mandates • Performs Quality Assurance to ACR/OEM/Department protocols and assists in maintaining ACR Accreditation • Cleans and stocks Imaging areas of responsibility • Participates in training new employees to include but not limited to: equipment operation, patient movement, and quality assurance • Assists in monitoring all radiographic and MR equipment to insure it is properly maintained and follows prescribed safety standards in operating equipment • Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations • Maintains patient confidentiality • Performs other duties as assigned to ensure efficient workflow Skills/Requirements: • Must have at least a 2-year degree in Associates of Applied Science of Radiology Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification • MR certification is required • At least one (1) year of MRI experience is required • Current BLS is required
