Conducting thorough patient evaluations, ordering tests, and devising personalized treatment strategies Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, and episodic health conditions, either independently or with physician collaboration Providing education to patients and families regarding health promotion, preventative care, and disease management Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with your professional qualifications Engaging in patient follow-up and managing chronic conditions effectively Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and cohesive patient care Accurately documenting patient interactions and care plans using electronic medical records (EMR) Education Essentials
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Licensure and Certifications
Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Texas National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to secure within 90 days) Key Attributes for Success
