Provides direct patient care to patient under direction of the RN and according to the Aide Plan of Care. Provides necessary skills to assist the patient with safe transfers and ambulation per the Hospice policy. Provides necessary skill to appropriately report changes and document pertinent information and care rendered to patient to ensure continuity of care. Practices accepted infection control principles. Provide a clean, safe, and comfortable environment. Promotes positive, supportive, respectful communication to patient/family and other employees. Provides an environment which promotes respect for patient, privacy, and property. Provides skills necessary to assist the patient with proper nutrition and adequate fluid intake. Contributes to the management and efficient operation of the Hospice and demonstrate effective time management skills. Provides skills necessary to perform treatments and procedures according to the Hospice policy. Promotes the Hospice philosophy and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.
Requirements:
Current CNA certification in Texas. Proven experience in hospice or senior care preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. A kind and patient demeanor with a commitment to providing dignified care.
Payrate: $25 per visit
