Job Duties and Responsibilities
Learn the hotel brand and strategy
Drive customer loyalty to grow share of the account through service excellence
Identify and solicit new accounts via telemarketing, appointments, site tours, cold calls, and email/phone interactions
Advise clients on hotel facilities and services when proposing groups and events
Establish client base of organizations, associations, and corporate businesses to secure hotel business
Negotiate food & beverage, function space, room rates, and hotel services to meet or exceed revenue goals
Achieve all predetermined sales goals for revenue and activity
Negotiate contracts according to company standards
Complete all solicitation, closing, and customer communications documentation
Conduct hotel and banquet facility tours; entertain qualified prospects per company and property policies
Respond promptly and accurately to all client RFPs and information requests
Monitor local competitors and benchmark operations against own
Complete daily/weekly/monthly reports as directed by DOS/GM
Participate in quarterly and annual business and marketing plans and assist with budgeting
Perform additional duties as assigned to meet business objectives
Education and Experience
High school education required; post‑high school education preferred
Two (2) years of hotel service or sales experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Outgoing personality
Professional appearance and dress
Collaborative work with hotel service team for exceptional customer service
Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
Ability to achieve sales goals
Proactive, assertive, fast-paced sales approach, driven to succeed
Excellent time management skills
Understanding of revenue management strategies
Flexible work hours that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
