About
Work with CEO to further the Company's strategic vision for significant and sustainable growth Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning and introduction of new events, geographic markets, partnerships/sponsorships and other ancillary revenue streams Drive revenue through strategic business development Promote the development of existing and new events in current and new geographies to continue to build market share and secure future growth and profitability Prepare annual company budgets and work with the Executive Team to adhere to those budgets throughout the year Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization Provide day-to-day leadership to the management team and all employees Conduct regular business reviews to ensure performance to annual business plan targets Source, assess, execute, and integrate selective strategic acquisitions to accelerate growth Work collaboratively across the organization and provide guidance, development, and training while fostering an environment of continuous improvement Observe and monitor the competition and market to identify areas of opportunity Maintain the Company's positive reputation within the community and foster a relationship with event exhibitors Present business updates to Board on a quarterly basis Heavy travel to work the shows on the weekends
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Primary and critical skills:
Experience working for an events management company, consumer events, tradeshows, exhibition, or something similar Combination of operations and sales experience to be able to oversee logistics surrounding events and sponsorship sales Should have P&L responsibility Experience working for a small business and willing to be hands on Strategic with a track record of growing revenues An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding leadership skills and can work in a roll-up-your-sleeves environment Strong business acumen and results oriented approach Highly organized and detail oriented Ability to act analytically and apply sound judgement, solve problems, make effective decisions, and act with integrity Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience
Secondary skills:
Experience leading, or working for, a private equity portfolio company Experience preparing and presenting formal business updates to a Board of Directors Passion for or interest in art and the art industry eCommerce and digital marketing knowledge and work experience Acquisition and integration experience
