Description
Conduct thorough assessments of patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric populations through standardized measures and observational methods. Create tailored treatment plans that cater to both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language enhancement, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing proficiency. Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams comprising physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure comprehensive care strategies. Provide educational resources for patients and families to bolster progress beyond therapy sessions. Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and treatments to maintain continuity of patient care throughout their therapeutic journey. Ensure meticulous documentation is maintained, adhering to state, federal, and institutional guidelines. Continually engage in professional development through ongoing education and interactions with peers in the field. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA certified. Certifications
Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needed within 30 days of hire. Skills
Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic techniques for all age groups, coupled with a rich understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.
