Pharmacy Technician - Full Time Hometown Pharmacy is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will assist pharmacists with daily pharmacy operations while providing exceptional service to patients and customers. Responsibilities include prescription processing, inventory management, customer support, and maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, motivated, and eager to grow within the pharmacy field. Key Responsibilities:
Provide outstanding customer service in person and over the phone Enter patient and prescription information accurately into the pharmacy system Count, label, package, and prepare prescription medications Process and submit prescriptions for third-party insurance billing Assist with troubleshooting insurance and billing issues Maintain inventory by ordering, stocking, and organizing medications and supplies Keep the pharmacy clean, organized, and professional in appearance File paperwork and assist with general store maintenance tasks Support pharmacists and pharmacy staff with patient care services Build positive relationships with customers and patients Learn commonly prescribed medications, including brand/generic equivalents and therapeutic classes Assist customers with over-the-counter products and basic register functions
Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and customer service skills Positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to work effectively in a team environment Basic math and problem-solving skills Self-motivated and dependable
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required Previous pharmacy technician experience or training preferred Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
