Preparing and organizing the operating room to support surgical procedures Ensuring the maintenance of sterile environments and adherence to infection control protocols Assisting surgeons and surgical assistants by providing necessary instruments and supplies Managing and preparing surgical tools before, during, and after surgical operations Keeping an inventory of supplies and confirming readiness for each specified operation Working collaboratively with nurses, anesthesiologists, and other surgical staff to ensure cohesive care Accurate maintenance of surgical counts and pertinent documentation Education Requirements:
Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory Certifications Needed:
Valid CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential is essential BLS certification (or willingness to secure within 90 days of employment) Key Skills and Attributes:
