In this role, you won't just focus on communication and swallowing disorders; you will empower individuals to unlock their potential, restore their confidence, and foster connections that span generations, from toddlers expressing their first words to seniors regaining their independence. What awaits you here is a truly unique opportunity to serve a diverse population, blending outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient support. Role Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized assessments and observational techniques. Craft individualized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Deliver targeted one-on-one speech therapy focused on enhancing communication, language fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families, to establish seamless, cohesive treatment strategies. Provide education to patients and their families, empowering them to support progress beyond clinical sessions. Partake in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure a continuous care experience. Maintain meticulous documentation aligned with state, federal, and organization standards in a timely manner. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of advancements in the speech-language pathology field through education and collaboration. Educational Requirements
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if yet to attain ASHA certification. Certifications Required
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment. Essential Skills
Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for diverse age groups, along with a solid grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills to connect with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Adeptness at customizing therapy techniques to cater to varied cultural and linguistic needs. Strong clinical acumen and problem-solving capabilities. Familiarity with electronic medical records and adherence to documentation standards. What We Offer
Competitive salary reflecting your expertise. Flexible scheduling designed for healthier work-life balance and diverse caseload management. Opportunities to specialize in areas such as pediatrics, adult rehabilitation, or geriatrics. Paid time off (PTO) along with holiday remuneration. Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans. Investment in your growth through continuing education reimbursements and professional development initiatives. A collaborative, team-oriented environment focused on delivering high-quality care and fostering a culture of ongoing learning.
Your Career's Next Adventure Awaits Here, you won't simply practice speech therapy - you'll be a part of a mission dedicated to restoring voices, enhancing communications, and enriching lives through the simplest human gestures: understanding and connection. You'll join clinicians who embody a family ethos, promoting an environment that values collaboration over competition. Each patient has a meaningful story; we trust you to help narrate it. Explore the Enrichment of Your New Home In North Carolina, especially in this thriving area, you'll find a harmonious blend of creativity, energy, and southern charm. The picturesque landscape invites you to escape into nature, taking weekend hikes through lush trails or relaxing in local parks, while a vibrant arts scene buzzes in the background.
