About

Senior Geotechnical Engineer Senior Geotechnical Engineer with 5+ years of experience required to join a leading UK engineering consultancy in their Dublin office. You will support the delivery of complex geotechnical design assignments across infrastructure, transportation, energy, and industrial projects in Ireland and internationally. The role offers the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary environment on high-profile projects while developing technical and project management expertise. The successful Senior Geotechnical Engineer will play a key role in the growth of the Dublin team and the delivery of major infrastructure projects across Ireland and the UK. Projects MetroLink DART+ Large Marine Infrastructure Projects Bridges Transportation Projects Responsibilities Deliver geotechnical design assignments from concept through to detailed design Design and assess deep foundations (driven, bored, and CFA piles), retaining structures, deep excavations, slopes, earthworks, and ground improvement works Assist with the planning, supervision, and interpretation of ground investigations Prepare technical reports, calculations, specifications, and design documentation Undertake geotechnical analysis and modelling using industry-standard software Review and coordinate designs with multidisciplinary project teams Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and industry best practice Liaise with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders throughout project delivery Requirements Level 8 degree or higher in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline 5+ years of geotechnical design experience within a consultancy environment Experience working on infrastructure, transportation, energy, or marine projects Strong understanding of geotechnical design principles and ground engineering solutions Experience in foundation design and interpretation of ground investigation data Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in geotechnical software such as PLAXIS, ZSoil, WALLAP, LPILE, Rocscience, gINT, or equivalent Salary & Benefits €55,000 - €65,000 + Benefits Bonus Pension Tax Saver Scheme Health Insurance Hybrid Working Flexitime Generous Annual Leave If you are a Senior Geotechnical Engineer looking for your next career move, send your CV or contact Jake Killeen for a confidential discussion.
