About
Work under the clinical supervision of the Behavior Analyst to provide behavior-analytic services to multiple patients with autism spectrum disorder and related developmental disabilities in an outpatient setting. Acquire baseline data and implement approved treatment plan using applied behavior analysis neutrally and consistently. Implement discrete trial teaching procedures across a variety of patients and functioning levels. Apply reinforcement procedures effectively, utilize SDs that are clear, concise and consistent. Utilize prompt fading, shaping, and chaining procedures. Assist Outpatient Behavior Analyst in conducting functional behavior assessments to include conducting a record review and Functional Assessment Interview, define behavior and choose appropriate method of data collection, summarize environment, setting events, and medical information. Communicate effectively with parents regarding progress, troubleshoot, generalization strategies for home, and other elements of parent training as designated by Outpatient Behavior Analyst. Participate in required supervision with Outpatient Behavior Analyst.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Associate's Degree OR six months of ABA experience 40-hour coursework for Registered Behavior Technician Certification (RBT) before hire Completion of an RBT competency assessment and exam within 30 days of hire OR BCBA or BCaBA Certification Computer efficiency Ability to work and build rapport with patients of diverse backgrounds
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor's Degree Six months of experience working with autistic children, utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Experience working with young children (8 and under) or previous ABA experience is a plus
Physical Requirements:
Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting students, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Physically able to manage patients of varying weight and sizes. Requires normal or corrected vision and hearing.
