About
Provide physical therapy services to patients in their homes under the supervision of the Physical Therapist Implement treatment plans established by the supervising PT Assist patients with exercises to improve strength, mobility, balance, and endurance Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the supervising PT Document patient visits and treatment notes accurately and in a timely manner Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and fall prevention Maintain compliance with home health regulations and agency policies Consult with patients to learn about their physical condition including mobility issues or injuries Ensure that patient care records are correct, and adhere to all regulations and guidelines Collaborate with others in the medical field and seek their opinions Design therapeutic strategies that integrate many approaches and techniques to meet individual patient needs Evaluate and interpret findings from the patient's tests results and assessments
Qualifications
Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Michigan Home health experience preferred but not required Strong clinical and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license Current CPR certification Previous experience working with patients in a healthcare environment is highly desired Must have a current state license to practice in the state you reside in Must have exceptional analytical skills, communication skills, and observational skills This position requires passage of the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) We require a bachelor's degree and a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)
