Part-time Approx 15-20 hours per week Required work schedule:
Monday 8a-12:30p
Tuesday 8a-5p
Wednesday: 8a-4p JOB SUMMARY: Assists provider to facilitate patient flow through the Physician Clinic and ensure an accurate and complete medical record for each patient. The Scribe assists the medical provider by accompanying them during the office visit and accurately capturing the medical history and exam by recording details of both into the electronic medical record. This position will also assist the provider in coordinating department resources regarding tests, orders, follow up visits and referrals during the checkout process. QUALIFICATIONS:
Computer proficiency and ability to quickly learn new applications. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Possess willingness to accept orders and to perform repetitive tasks. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Loyal in matters relating to the office. Has awareness of the need for discretion and keeping confidential matters relating to the patients and their problems. Previously demonstrated performance in a medical environment. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have adequate perception of sounds or adequate hearing with corrections. Must have strength and stamina for prolonged walking, standing, and dealing with stressful situations. Able to work in latex burdened environment. Able to speak clearly and distinctly with staff, physicians, patients, and families. Demonstrates adequate stamina to deal with stressful situations and to complete the necessary work schedule. Ability to stand for long periods of time Frequent walking for short distances Repetitive motion with keyboards, computer mouse Demonstrates adequate vision, or adequate vision with glasses/contacts, to prepare and read documents accurately. Possess fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to operate equipment.
