Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating tailored care strategies Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions either independently or in collaboration with physicians, depending on your credentials Instructing patients and their families on health promotion, disease prevention, and effective management Prescribing medications and treatments in accordance with your professional scope Engaging in follow-ups and managing chronic care for patients Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide cohesive, comprehensive care Meticulously documenting all patient interactions in electronic health records (EHR) Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner training program Certifications Needed
Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Indiana Nationally recognized certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or its equivalent Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days) Distinctive Skills You Bring
