About
Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and devising personalized care plans. Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses in conjunction with physicians or independently (as permitted by credentials). Guiding patients and their families on matters of prevention, wellness, and disease management. Prescribing medication and therapies within the boundaries of your practice. Engaging in follow-up care and managing chronic illness collaboratively. Working within interdisciplinary teams to provide cohesive and comprehensive care. Keeping accurate, detailed records in electronic medical systems. Qualifications and Credentials
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Necessary Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York. National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or a similar specialty. Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), or the commitment to achieve them within 90 days. Qualities That Will Shine Through
