Veterinary Assistant / Assistant Technician Noah's Ark Animal Clinics is looking for a compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented Veterinary Assistant / Assistant Technician to support our veterinarians and technical team in providing excellent patient care. In this role, you will assist with patient handling, exam room flow, basic medical support, cleaning, stocking, documentation, and client communication. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with animals, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to grow their skills in veterinary medicine. The Veterinary Assistant / Assistant Technician works under the direction of veterinarians and clinic leadership. Responsibilities may include safely restraining patients, preparing exam rooms and treatment areas, assisting with procedures as trained, helping maintain clean and stocked medical spaces, observing patients, and reinforcing veterinarian-approved instructions with clients. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working as part of a busy medical team. Prior veterinary or animal care experience is helpful, but a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and commitment to patient care are equally important. Key Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care, handling, and restraint. Help prepare exam rooms, treatment areas, supplies, and equipment. Support patient flow from intake through discharge. Observe patients and communicate concerns to the medical team. Maintain clean, organized, and stocked work areas. Assist with basic medical, diagnostic, surgical, or laboratory support as trained and directed. Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients and team members. Follow clinic protocols, safety standards, and veterinary team instructions.

Physical Requirements This role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and handling animals throughout the day. Team members must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and assist with handling larger dogs with appropriate help.
