About

Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) The Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) is tasked with overseeing the medical care given to patients while implementing high standards of care consistent with clinic office and medical policies and procedures. Primary Responsibilities:
Assists physician in all procedures as instructed: Collects blood and/or samples as directed using sterile techniques which apply; process with correct paperwork, and direct to correct laboratory for processing. Sterilizes all equipment/instruments using proper techniques, as well as technical usage of any and all other standard equipment used at the clinic. Administers all medications as ordered and assures all documentation is noted, as well as calling in medications to area pharmacies when requested by physician. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and their patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Maintains all stock in treatment rooms as well as rotation of dated medications, supplies, and keeps correct documentation of narcotic drugs as well as crash cart. Performs other duties as requested by area supervisors and area personnel. Retains documentation and assessment of patient vital signs, drug allergies and description of patient complaints on all charts.
Work Experience:
Education: Associate's degree in Nursing (ASN) or Nursing Diploma. Work Experience: None Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Florida. Certification: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintained. Background Check: If hired into Memory Disorder Clinic OR Health First Aging: Satisfy the State of Florida, Agency for Healthcare Administration (ACHA) Level 2 background screening. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Ability to pass colorblind testing to perform point of care (POC) tests requiring color change.
Physical Requirements:
Physically agile; may require walking, standing, running, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, or crouching frequently. May occasionally include lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance. May require moving in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces, including reaching out and above shoulders, or overhead. May lift, turn, pull, push, or ambulate people and/or equipment with or without assistance up to 90% of the assigned shift. May be exposed to inside and outside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting, and/or low to loud noise. May require working with biohazards such as blood/body fluids and airborne particles following OSHA and CDC guidelines. Communicating with others to exchange information. Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks. Workspace may vary from open to confined. May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of personal vehicle.
