About

CT Technologist The CT Technologist works under the direction of a radiologist, performing the specific section procedures with high quality. The CT Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply the imaging equipment for production of high-quality images. Assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures as requested. The imaging department provides diagnostic CT imaging services within the health care facility to patients in need. Qualifications:
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in CT. ODH License. Maintain current licenses and certifications as required. Complete and adhere to knowledge gained through annual employee education. Ability to operate equipment within the department. Obtain and maintain current American Heart Association (AHA) training in Basic Life Support (BLS) utilizing Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) is required.
Skills:
Comfortable speaking and communicating with colleagues and patients. Ability to meet and interact with the public in a mature, courteous, and professional manner. Detail oriented. Communicate effectively. Adaptability to changing work environment or needs. Computer, keyboard skills preferred.
Responsibilities:
Identify each patient and review physician orders for accuracy. Properly position patients for high image quality. Medical record documentation in HIS and RIS or systems required per department. Review each examination for quality. Maintain cleanliness of equipment and stock supplies. Communicate pertinent information to supervisor or responsible individual. Explain exams/procedures to patients and address any questions or concerns. Adhere to Aultman policies and procedures. Maintain Aultman attendance standards.
Working Conditions:
Hours may vary as required by job. Weekends and holidays per facility need. Subject to frequent interruptions and changes in priority of duties throughout the day. Lunch periods and breaks are coordinated with other staff members to maintain adequate coverage. Cross training in areas of the department as required. Colleagues may be assigned to different locations within the foundation. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Physical Addendum Demands:
Hazardous Exposure Category Category I - Includes tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues. Use of appropriate protective measures is required for every employee engaged in Category I tasks. Physical demands include frequent lifting, reaching, standing, walking, bending, and other physical activities.
