Full-Time hourly pay range: $60.00 to $70.00 per hour, commensurate with experience

This position is classified as Non-Exempt and reports to the Director of Rehabilitation and the Facility Administrator. Core responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive speech-language and swallowing evaluations in accordance with physician orders and California standards of practice Assessing and diagnosing speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and dysphagia disorders Developing, implementing, and modifying individualized plans of care with measurable, function-based goals consistent with benefit and reimbursement levels Providing skilled therapeutic interventions addressing communication, cognition, swallowing safety, and compensatory strategy development Performing clinical swallowing evaluations and providing dysphagia management within scope of practice and competency Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans based on objective findings and clinical response Supporting and instructing patients and families in techniques and behavioral adaptations to promote better communication and swallowing outcomes Leading discharge planning and providing recommendations to support safe transitions of care and community reintegration Communicating evaluation findings, progress updates, and discharge outcomes to physicians, interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA What You Bring
Current, active, and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the State of California - required Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program - required Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain per facility policy) Ongoing compliance with continuing education requirements established by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board Experience in a skilled nursing, post-acute, hospital, or related medical setting - strongly preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to exercise sound clinical judgment and lead by example Composure and professionalism in dynamic, fast-paced clinical environments Strong organizational skills, leadership ability, and capacity to make independent clinical decisions
