Description The fluid receiver is responsible for the efficient operation of equipment within the load-out and fluid receiving areas at West Point Dairy Products, LLC. Fluid Receivers perform tasks such as driving tankers, unloading tankers, sanitation of tankers and support equipment, product testing and following schedules and production orders to ensure maximum production is achieved. Schedule: 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM 2-2-3 Schedule (Week 1: Su, W, Th; Week 2: M, Tu, F, Sa) Pay:
$20.70 per hour (review at 90-days), $2,000 Hire Bonus Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Receive and unload raw buttermilk cream. Follow intake and production schedules to ensure efficient results Follow and comply with applicable good manufacturing, safety, and quality assurance practices. Verify quality control items such as product composition, temperature, and physical/chemical properties. Perform daily housekeeping, cleaning and sanitation of department and equipment. Maintain proper documentation practices throughout all recordkeeping. Demonstrate an understanding of products manufactured and the process involved. Continually learn and understand incoming and outgoing products.
Operate shag trucks to safely transport tankers, including backing them into the bay. Communicate professionally with third party haulers and drivers. Crosstrain to support other roles within the department as needed. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Position RequirementsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to adapt effectively within a continually changing and demanding environment. Basic understanding of flow charts and troubleshooting ability. Must be able to demonstrate an ability and willingness to communicate effectively, in English, in order to maintain high levels of Safety, Quality, and Efficiency. Ability to read and comprehend standard operating procedures and company guidelines, in English, in order to maintain regulatory compliance. Basic computer skills and ability to operate testing equipment. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Comfortable climbing stairs, working from heights and truck tops and in tight spaces. Demonstrate proficiency in the operation of required vehicles. Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Milk Truck/Tanker/Shag Truck operation experience preferred. Must maintain a valid driver's license to operate company shag trucks. Category Manufacturing
