As Director of Mechanical Engineering, you will play a key role in the design and manufacturing of our build system - a proprietary kit-of-parts for building high-quality multifamily housing.
What You'll Do
Lead design of both structural and non-structural build system componentsBuild and lead engineering team in charge of build component designFull ownership of CAD model of componentsObtain and maintain all necessary certifications and approvals for build system componentsCreate engineering drawings and work instructions for build system component manufacturing and assemblyDesign and implement production equipment, processes, and toolingTrack KPIs to understand how our engineering and manufacturing decisions impact the quality and $/sq ft of our buildingsQualifications
7+ years of experience in hardware developmentStrong technical background in mechanical design, structural analysis, DFMA, and productionExperience with CAD and FEA software packagesProven experience delivering large complex hardware products from low-rate prototypes to full-rate productionAbility to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentExcellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skillsBachelor of Science or higher degree in a technical discipline preferred, not requiredCompensation
The overall cash compensation for this position ranges from $180,000 to $250,000. All of our positions also offer a compensation package that includes equity and robust benefits.
