Koniag Government Services is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager/Shift Supervisor to support operations at the National NIBIN Correlation and Training Center (NNCTC). This position plays a critical role in ensuring shift operations run smoothly and in compliance with all contract requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and experience in project management environments. This position requires the ability to obtain necessary security clearances to support KGS and our government customer, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
The Assistant Project Manager/Shift Supervisor will report directly to the NNCTC Project Manager and will be responsible for overseeing daily operations during their assigned shift in accordance with PWS 4.1 requirements. Principal responsibilities include:
Supervise shift personnel to ensure proper execution of all assigned duties and responsibilitiesMonitor work quality, productivity, and adherence to established protocols and proceduresCoordinate with the Project Manager to implement operational strategies and process improvementsServe as the primary point of contact for shift-related issues and escalate matters as appropriatePrepare and deliver regular reports on shift performance, challenges, and accomplishmentsEnsure compliance with all contractual requirements and standard operating proceduresAssist in developing and updating workflows, procedures, and training materialsConduct regular staff meetings and briefings to communicate important informationParticipate in performance evaluations and professional development of shift personnelCoordinate with other shift supervisors to ensure continuity of operations across all shiftsAssist in resource allocation and scheduling to optimize operational efficiencySupport the Project Manager in budget management, forecasting, and resource planningImplement and enforce safety protocols and security measuresAssist in the development and execution of quality control processesServe as acting Project Manager in the absence of the Project Manager as required
Requirements:
Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage diverse teamsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and projectsExperience with performance monitoring and quality control processesKnowledge of project management principles and practicesAbility to analyze problems and implement effective solutionsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities and requirementsStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracyAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentExperience preparing and delivering reports and presentationsAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationshipsStrong decision-making skills and sound judgmentUnderstanding of contractual compliance requirementsAbility to obtain and maintain required security clearances
Desired Skills and Competencies:
Previous experience working with federal agencies, particularly ATFKnowledge of NIBIN (National Integrated Ballistic Information Network) operationsProject Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalentExperience with scheduling and resource management softwareBackground in law enforcement or criminal justiceExperience in 24/7 operational environmentsKnowledge of federal contracting requirements and proceduresPrior experience managing shift operationsFamiliarity with quality management systemsTraining or instructional experienceExperience with process improvement methodologiesKnowledge of applicable safety regulations and procedures
Education:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university/college (work experience may be substituted with prior ATF approval)
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Minimum of five years recent experience commensurate with the job requirementsExperience in supervisory or leadership roles
