MRI Technologist (Float) Envision Imaging is looking to add an MRI Technologist to our team to float between the Collin, Denton, and North Dallas regions Monday – Friday, with shifts scheduled between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM based on coverage needs. Position pay range: $37.51 - $48.35. To honor long-term commitment, this role includes a $10,000 retention bonus. Performs MRI procedures according to protocol and age-specific needs, including patient preparation. Maintains and monitors patient environment, adheres to safety procedures and contributes to the security and maintenance of the unit. Essential functions include interfacing with patients to ascertain medical history, reviewing patient charts, obtaining prior films/exams, performing high quality scans, coordinating scan protocols with Radiologist, maintaining and inspecting equipment, and other duties as assigned. Competencies include technical capacity, ethical conduct, thoroughness, time management, and personal effectiveness/credibility. This position has no supervision responsibilities. This job operates in an environmentally controlled outpatient clinical environment. Potential exposure to radiation, which is minimized by the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Possible exposure to bodily fluids, communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation and other conditions common to a medical office environment. Often requires work in cool, dimly lighted rooms. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. No travel is expected for this position. Minimum qualifications/experience include two plus years' experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) – preferred, ability to educate patients on procedures being performed, detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player, ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately, ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment, ability to continuously "exceed" company and customer expectation, strong communication skills & professional demeanor. Education/certifications include graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program, current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification with Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) or current American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), current license from state medical board (if applicable), current CPR certification. Additional eligibility qualifications are not required for this position.
