Requirements:
Current New York State licensure Injection therapy certification (must have at the time of submission) Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Two (2) years of experience Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association ONLY) Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center preferred Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred Willingness to complete injection certification during orientation process
Roles & Responsibilities:
Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans, adhering to department policy for patient safety. Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging. Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedures to help them feel comfortable. Insert IVs when necessary for tests. Position patients accordingly, including safe handling of those with limited mobility. Maintain accurate patient records by documenting necessary components within the electronic record system and ensure images are sent to the appropriate storage system correctly after exam completion. Maintain a clean and safe scanning environment.
