What we need
Symboticis currently seeking a talentedAutomationSystem Operatorwho wouldbe responsibleformonitoringthe operation of our automated material handling system, while coordinating on-site troubleshooting effortsand escalating complex issues to internal subject matter experts.
What we do
The system operator is part of the site operations team, which is part of theCustomer Operations organization. The CustomerOperationsorganizationis responsible forleadingthe day-to-day operationsofSymbotic’srobotic material handling system.The Customer Operations organization drives operational excellenceby engaging and partnering with our onsite customers to drive best-in-class quality,safetyand system performance.
Whatyou’lldo
Ensure that the safety commitments in compliance with OSHA,Symbotic, and our customers’ processes and procedures are met daily.
Monitor system performance and availability of both personnel and automated robotic vehicles.
Work withcustomerto schedule and produce orders and receive inventory.
Troubleshoot system stoppages anddeterminebestcourse of action tomaintainsystem up-time.
Effectively communicate and troubleshoot software issues with off-siteSymboticsoftware engineers and on-site management team.
Operate system via custom GUI. Ensure safe and proper operation ofsystem.
Plan daily activities and coordinate system maintenance with maintenance personnel and Automation Manager based upon daily needs of warehouse operations.
Maintainaccuratelogs of major events. Becometheon-site software expert with an excellent understanding of system interrelations and consequences.
Assesscauseof automated robotic vehicle failure,examine log files and take detailed notesand alert service personnel.
Assistand train other automation team operators in troubleshooting and repairs of any equipment asrequired, consistent with level of experience and training.
Communicate with tier support to drive system production.
Other duties as assigned by leadership.
Whatyou’llneed
Minimum of3 years in a computer or automation environment desired.
Ability to direct and guideemployeesdaily standard work.
Effective detail-oriented communicator.
A desire to learn new equipment andassistteam members as needed.
Takes critical feedback and recognition positively.
Ability tomulti-taskand perform multiple job functions at once.
A high sense of urgency.
Must be literate, written and verbal, in English Language.
OurEnvironment
There will be steep stairs to climb into the structure.
You will regularly be near railings that are high off the ground.
Subject to environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions but not necessarily temperature changes. Must be capable of working in temperatures ranging from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit.
If the site location isinconstruction, you willbe requiredto wear proper PPE (hard hat, safety vest, steel toes, eyeglasses, ear protection, fall protection (e.g., safety harness).
Frequent ability tosafely and efficiently lift items weighingup to 50lbs and move items weighing up to 80lbs.
Stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours and isfrequentlyrequiredto walk and reach with hands and arms.
The employeeis routinely required towork at heights of up to 45 feet and within restrictive areas of 24 inches. to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must be capable of occasional and/or continuous feeling, seeing, hearing, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, balancing, gripping, climbing, crawling, sitting, handling objects, and repetitive movement using both hands and feet. Mustcomply withall safety requirements and protocols, including without limitation Lock out tag out safety protocols and fall protection safety protocols.

The base range for this position in the posted location is $30.00 - $30.00 however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K, PTO and/or other benefits.Languages
