*Role Description*
This is a full-time remote role for a Data Engineer with Power BI experience. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about building scalable data platforms, optimising pipelines and delivering high-quality data solutions that drive real business value.
The Data Engineer will design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and data architecture. Responsibilities include crafting and optimising ETL processes, developing and maintaining robust data models, enabling data warehousing and performing in-depth data analysis to facilitate informed decision-making. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and adherence to cloud-based solutions like Azure or AWS will be key to success in this role.
*Qualifications*
* Expertise in Data Engineering, including experience in building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines
* Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse and/or Databricks
* Proficiency in Data Modelling and ensuring data structured optimally for reporting and insight generation
* Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes and best practices
* Strong experience in Data Warehousing, including design, implementation, and maintenance of centralised data repositories
* Familiarity with Data Analytics frameworks and tools, such as Power BI.
* Knowledge of database management systems like MS SQL, PostgreSQL, or MySQL (cloud and on-premise environments)
* Ability to architect cloud-based solutions with platforms such as Azure or AWS
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
* Power BI experience
* Experience in process automation tools like Power Automate, MS Flow, or Azure Logic Apps is a plus
* Strong communication skills and ability to translate business needs into technical strategies
*Desirable*
* Experience with Azure Data Factory
* Knowledge of PySpark, Python, or Spark
* Exposure to Power BI and downstream reporting solutions
* Understanding of medallion architecture / lakehouse concepts
Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Doncaster DN9 1PH
