Schedule: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $16.50 per hourJoin Our TeamAzure Shores Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activity Assistant to support our Activities Department. In this role, you will help create meaningful and engaging experiences for our residents while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and facility policies. You’ll work closely with the Activity Director to enhance residents’ quality of life through recreational and social programs.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in planning, setting up, and facilitating daily activities as directed by the Activity DirectorEscort residents to and from activity areas and provide guidance during participationSupervise and assist residents during scheduled activitiesConduct routine visits with in-room residents, offering companionship and assisting with crafts, letters, and personal requestsObserve and document resident attendance, mood, behavior, and level of engagementGather activity preferences by communicating with residents and family membersEncourage resident and family involvement in activity planningCoordinate with other departments to support activity programmingAssist residents with scheduling appointments as neededMaintain accountability and responsibility for assigned dutiesRequirementsAbility to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishPrevious nursing home or long-term care experience preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to make independent decisions when neededKnowledge of activity programming regulations in healthcare settings is a plusCompassionate, patient, and enthusiastic demeanorAbility to work well with residents, families, staff, and the publicBasic computer skills required (Microsoft Word, etc.)Ability to work collaboratively and maintain a positive team environmentBenefitsComprehensive Medical & Dental CoverageGenerous Paid Time Off (PTO)401(k) Retirement PlanEmployee Recognition ProgramSupportive, team-oriented work environmentCompany perks and employee discountsApply today to join Azure Shores Rehabilitation and make a meaningful impact in the lives of our residents every day.
