About

Registered Nurse - Endoscopy Location [City, State] This is a 13-week contract position. Day Shift: 4x10 Hours (08:30 - 19:00), with possible adjustment to 07:30 - 18:00. Call shifts required on 1-2 weekends/holidays per month. The Endoscopy RN will be responsible for providing expert nursing care in a fast-paced endoscopy environment. Proficiency in managing conscious sedation and interpreting dysrhythmias is critical. The role requires experience in high-volume, high-acuity settings and entails floating within the endoscopy procedural and pre/post-care areas. Responsibilities
Administer conscious sedation and monitor patients during endoscopic procedures. Prepare the endoscopy suite and assist physicians during procedures. Provide post-procedure care and ensure patient safety and comfort. Document patient care and procedures accurately in the Epic charting system. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care. Float between intake, sedation, and post-procedure areas as required.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting, with an ICU background highly preferred. Current certifications in ACLS and BLS. Conscious sedation certification is highly preferred. Must be proficient in EKG interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Experience with Epic charting system is required.
