About
Monitors persons served/ clients Complete nursing encounter visits Handles medication management Ensure universal precautions of the center Checks vital signs and records in the persons served/ client's chart daily Observe and assess persons served/ clients for clinical signs and symptoms and follow prescribed courses of treatment. Assist with client scheduling, appointments and telehealth as directed by center nurse Assist with completing withdrawal scales after training and direction of center nurse Participate in staff and state regulatory training as required Adhere to program policies and procedures while maintaining a professional code of ethics Required to protect the privacy of all persons served/ client information in accordance with Addiction Recovery Care, LLC/ Odyssey, Inc.'s privacy policy, procedures and practices as required by federal and state law, in accordance with general principle of professionalism as a healthcare provider. Maintain a valid driver's license
Key Experience and Education Needed:
High School Diploma or GED Valid Kentucky CNA Certification Substance abuse experience preferred. Experience delivering Health Education classes Appropriate State and Federal Clearances
Other Qualifications to be Considered:
Knowledge and understanding of recovery principles and recovery driven service system Knowledge of community health resources that support life improvement in physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health, economic security, employment, positive social and family interdependence and positive cultural identity Knowledge of the physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual impact of alcohol and other drugs on the individual and family Knowledge of airborne and blood borne pathogens (TB, HIV, AIDS, HB) and risk reduction methodologies and the uses of universal precautions Knowledge of Federal, State and Municipal laws and/or regulations that regulate the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes. Ability to pay attention to detail and be organized. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle crisis situations in a calm and supportive manner Ability to exhibit professional and courteous behavior, consistent with the ARC mission statement, when interacting with persons of varying backgrounds and education levels to create a safe and healthy relationship with clients served
