Supervise and evaluate all direct resident care and initiate corrective action as necessary. Interpret existing policies and procedures for nursing assistants, residents, families and physicians. Conduct resident rounds daily, reporting problems to nursing supervisors and initiating corrective action.
Administer and document direct resident care, medications and treatments per physicians' orders and accurately record all care provided. Promptly report changes in residents' condition to the physician, Residential Services Director, and responsible party, and take follow-up action as necessary. Qualifications:
Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing. Experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse in a long-term care environment preferred. Must have a current, active, valid license as a Licensed Practical Nurse with no sustained findings or convictions. CPR Certification (Basic Life Support) is required. IV certified, knowledge of PCC is a plus.
