Performing histories and physicals initiating and adjusting therapeutic regimens Ordering medications/supplies in accordance with VA policy and the VA formulary Providing appropriate follow up care Triage of patients with non-medicine complaints, diseases, and injuries to appropriate disciplines for diagnosis and treatment
Physicians have been granted clinical privileges by the Medical Staff. The physician will work in a team setting with other physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and support staff assigned to perform duties to accomplish the treatment of ECHCS Veterans. Computer skills are essential as ECHCS is fully computerized for note documentation, entering orders, and requesting consults. VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package. EDRP Authorized: This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application.
