What You'll Do
Complete delivery paperwork and communicate load or timing issues with dispatch, sales, and customersConduct daily pre-trip,inter-trip, andpost trip inspections of truck and cargoDeliver products to customers, contractors, and jobsites within the regionFollow all safety rules and always wear required PPEInventory and inspect products to confirm quantity and conditionLoad, secure, and deliver cargo safely and on timeMaintain vehicle service and repair logs in compliance with state and federal regulationsOperate vehicles using Electronic Logging Devices(ELD)and safety dashcams (training provided)Perform loading tasks including chaining, strapping, tarping, trailer hooking/unhooking, use ofsideboardkitsand safely ascending/descending of truck and/or trailerPerform additional duties to ensure safe, compliant transportation per federal and state safety regulationsWork flexible hoursand be available based on business needs
What You'll Need
Working knowledge of DOT regulations and requirementsValid Class A Commercial Driver LicenseMust have Hazmat EndorsementTWIC RequiredAt least 1 year of verified tractor-trailer experience (3 years flatbed OTR preferred)Must be at least 21 years of ageStrong verbal communication and listening skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively while giving and receiving feedbackWillingness to work outdoors in all weather conditionsAbility to learn new tasks and adapt to changing requirementsNo DUI/DWI within the past five yearsNo more than one moving violation in the past three yearsAbility to pass DOT physicals and drug testingAbility to perform physical tasks such as walking, climbing stairs/ladders, works with chains/strap, performs inspectionsAbility to carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
Your Education
High School Diploma or GED preferred
