About the Opportunity
Invoke Staffing is seeking a Construction Assistant Superintendent to support field operations on commercial construction projects throughout the Raleigh-Durham area. This role is ideal for a motivated construction professional looking to grow into a Superintendent position while gaining hands-on experience across all phases of construction.
Position Overview
The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Lead Superintendent and Project Management team to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This individual will play a key role in coordinating subcontractors, maintaining jobsite organization, and supporting daily field operations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Superintendent in managing day-to-day jobsite operationsCoordinate and oversee subcontractor work to ensure alignment with project schedule and scopeHelp maintain and update short-term schedules and look-ahead plansEnforce jobsite safety protocols and support a culture of safetyConduct daily jobsite walks to monitor progress and quality of workAssist with inspections, punch lists, and project closeout activitiesMaintain accurate project documentation including daily reports, photos, and logsSupport material deliveries and ensure proper staging and site logisticsCommunicate effectively with subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members
Qualifications
2-5+ years of experience in commercial construction (field experience preferred)Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and jobsite coordinationAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsExcellent organizational and communication skillsProficiency with construction management software (Procore or similar preferred)OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus
