About
Assumes responsibility for acquiring knowledge and skills necessary for patient care in the identified practice setting.
Performs assessment and analyzes patient problems and conditions using critical thinking skills to determine need for standard, urgent or emergent interventions.
Implements and/or modifies plan of care using assessment data, standards of care and evidence based practice inclusive of nursing care coordination, appropriate patient and family education, and discharge planning. Facilitates interdisciplinary partnership in patient care.
Integrates ethical provisions in nursing practice and delivers care in a manner that preserves and protects patient autonomy, dignity and rights.
Administers medications, IV therapy, and treatments in compliance with policies and procedures.
Evaluates progress towards attainment of desired patient outcomes.
Job Requirements Required
Diploma Of Nursing Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, upon hire and
BSN Requirement: Effective 04/01/2026, all ADN prepared RN hires are required to obtain their BSN degree within five (5) years of their start date. Individuals must enroll in and begin participating in a BSN program within two (2) years of their start date.
Registered Nurse: KY, upon hire and
Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 90 Days and
Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 6 - months and
Trauma Nurse Core Course, within 12 - months and
Preferred
Neonatal Resuscitation Program, upon hire
