Garden Grove Dog & Cat Hospital is looking to add a full-time Veterinary Technician Supervisor to their team!

In collaboration with the practice manager, the position oversees the training, performance, scheduling, and evaluation of technical staff within our hospital. Additionally, you’ll serve as the primary point of contact for all technical inquiries, concerns, and issues—both on and off premises.
Experience & Skills Requirements:
The Technician Supervisor should ideally hold an RVT/LVT/CVT certification and have 2+ years of lead or supervisory experience.
Has a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a veterinary technician or 5 years as a Veterinary Assistant Must be an excellent leader.
Must be well-organized and capable of multitasking effectively Possesses strong technical skills Strong anesthesia monitoring skills required Phlebotomy experience required Able to fully use their technical skills, as well as, learn from new experiences
Role Responsibilities:
Schedule and assess skill qualifications for all potential technical staff with new hires in the hospital.
Appropriately schedule technical staff to maximize coverage and minimize overtime Provide medical, behavioral, and performance expectations to technical staff.
Oversee technical staff performance with guidance from the Practice Manager to ensure quality control and consistency in task completion.
Regularly review technical staff to ensure they understand clear expectations and how their performance aligns with them.
Communicate with the Practice Manager and Medical Director regarding equipment performance and maintenance to guarantee functionality.
Collaborate closely with the Practice Manager and the administrative team to ensure consistent practices throughout the hospital.
Act as the primary resource manager for technical staff.
As assigned by the Practice Manager, oversee training for technical staff in relevant technical skills. Schedule regular meetings for technical staff and ensure all action items from each meeting are completed before removing them from the to-do list.
Inventory orders, inventory intake, and equipment maintenance. General facility oversight and knowledge

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate from $28-32/ hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
