About
Conduct assessments for patients across age groups using standardized tests and observational methods. Craft individualized treatment strategies that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language proficiency, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to design integrated care plans. Educate patients and their families to bolster progression beyond therapy sessions. Engage in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless care from assessment to recovery. Keep meticulous, timely records in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards. Enhance your expertise through continuous education and engagement with fellow professionals. Education
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire. Skills
