About
Perform MRI imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols Position patients and coils appropriately to obtain optimal imaging results Educate patients on procedures, expectations, and safety guidelines Review patient safety questionnaires prior to MRI scans Ensure all images are accurately labeled and transmitted to PACS in a timely manner Evaluate images for technical quality and diagnostic acceptability Maintain accurate documentation in Radiology Information System (IDX) Schedule exams and record patient tracking information as required Ensure cleanliness and readiness of MRI equipment and work areas Monitor inventory of supplies and maintain adequate stock levels Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly Assist physicians during procedures when required Follow strict MRI safety protocols to prevent exposure to ferromagnetic materials Adhere to infection control and safety policies Perform basic clerical duties when necessary Participate in training sessions and professional development activities Required Skills & Experience:
Strong knowledge of MRI physics, cross-sectional anatomy, and physiology Excellent technical and problem-solving skills Minimum
2 years of MRI experience preferred Education:
Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT accredited Radiologic Technology program Certifications & Licensure (Required):
Active
New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology ARRT (MRI) Certification BCLS Certification
