About
Assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both standardized methods and observational assessments. Create individualized treatment strategies tailored to both short and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Deliver one-on-one speech therapy sessions with targeted interventions for communication, language skills, fluency, and swallowing issues. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive care. Provide education to patients and their families to promote ongoing improvement beyond therapy. Occasionally conduct inpatient evaluations and therapies, ensuring a seamless continuum of care. Keep thorough, precise records compliant with all state, federal, and agency regulations. Engage in continued professional development and peer collaboration to stay ahead in the field. Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not already ASHA-certified. Licensure & Certifications
Must hold state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire. Necessary Skills
Adeptness in evidence-based treatment methods for a variety of ages and conditions, alongside a deep understanding of developmental and acquired disorders. Strong communication skills that reach beyond technical jargon to connect meaningfully with patients and families.
