Performing in-depth assessments of patients, ordering necessary tests, and developing tailored care plans Identifying and addressing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues in collaboration with physicians or independently, based on qualifications Providing education to patients and families regarding prevention, wellness, and management of diseases Prescribing treatments and medications as permitted within your practice scope Engaging in patient follow-up care and chronic illness management Working with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care Maintaining accurate documentation within electronic medical records (EMR) Education and Credentials
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Licensure and Certifications Needed
Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Arizona National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or appropriate specialty equivalent Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe Key Skills and Attributes
