About
Obtains vital signs, documenting this information in the patient record. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients and for special procedures. Drapes patients as needed and positions instruments and equipment. Hands instruments and materials to practitioners as directed. Selects proper technical factors for X-Ray on individual basis. Reinforces patient education materials/instructions under specific written authorization of the medical provider. Has ability to accurately maintain Electronic Health Record (EHR). Maintains par levels of medical supplies and medications. Keeps rooms well-stocked and organized per practitioner preferences. Reports deficiencies to Clinic Supervisor or Lead for ordering. Ensures all outdated supplies, materials and medications are discarded and replaced per policy. Cleans patient care equipment per policy following each patient use. Reports safety concerns to Practice Lead. Assists in departmental duties. Possesses effective communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills. Pursues professional growth. Adheres to department dress code. Participates in departmental growth and development. Maintains cleanliness of patient exam rooms. Operates X-Ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated body portions. Transports patients. Ability to work standby. Develops film by automatic and manual processing. Provides radiation protection to self and patients. Assists physician in administering contrast media. Practices sterile techniques and prevents cross contamination. Maintains order and cleanliness. Secures and returns supplies. Attends staff meetings. Participates and does assigned Quality Assurance duties consistently. Demonstrates System Values in performance and behavior. Complies with System policies and procedures. Other duties as may be assigned.

Minimum Education/Experience: Certificate of completion from college or vocational school Successful completion of a Radiologic Technologist Program (College or Institutional Program) approved by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). The college program will grant a minimum of an Associate's Degree (A.S.) or Radiologic Technology program or equivalent. 6 months to 1 year relevant experience Required Licenses/Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Specialty: Radiography (ARRT-R)

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers

BLS: Employee will be enrolled in the Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) Basic Life Support (BLS) Entry or Prep Curriculum (depending on their previous BLS certification).

Other Experience/Qualifications:
Two to five years' experience in a hospital setting preferred.
