About
The Acupuncturist will perform treatments on patients, (specifically Oncology patients), to alleviate side effects of chemotherapy and/or radiation, as well as pain, other symptoms and to promote overall wellness. The Acupuncturist will conduct patient assessments to determine the best treatment for each individual. The Acupuncturist will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as Physicians, PA's and Nurses, to ensure comprehensive patient care. This is a commission based position ($55/patient)Responsibilities Perform acupuncture treatments on patients to alleviate pain and promote overall wellness - Conduct patient assessments to determine treatment plans tailored to individual needs -Utilize Manual Therapies, Cupping, and Dry Needling to achieve set goals for wellness when needed - Utilize trigger point therapy and other techniques to address specific health concerns - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and chiropractors, to ensure comprehensive patient care - Maintain accurate patient records and documentation - Provide education to patients on acupuncture benefits and self-care practices RequirementsEducation and Work Experience: -Must possess a high school diploma or GED -Minimum 1 year of experience -Certified by NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) and Active license in the state of Maryland as an Acupuncturist Qualifications: - Active CPR certification preferred -Strong knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, and physical examinations - Experience in pain management, particularly in acute pain management - Familiarity with treating patients across various demographics, including pediatrics - Excellent patient care skills and bedside manner -Strong interpersonal communication skills Min USD $16.00/Hr.
Max USD $22.40/Hr.
Salary Information Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
