Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging procedures as ordered by physicians Prepare patients for radiologic examinations and explain procedures clearly Position patients correctly to obtain accurate and high-quality images Operate and maintain radiographic equipment safely and efficiently Ensure proper radiation safety protocols for patients, self, and staff Review images for quality and make adjustments as needed Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in EMR systems Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers regarding imaging results Follow infection control, HIPAA, and hospital safety guidelines Assist with inventory management and equipment maintenance checks
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT certification preferred or required depending on state) Active state license in Radiologic Technology (if applicable) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Knowledge of radiation safety standards and imaging protocols
Preferred Skills / Experience:
Prior experience in hospital or outpatient imaging center preferred Strong attention to detail and patient care skills Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team Familiarity with digital imaging systems (PACS, EMR)
Work Environment:
Hospital, urgent care, or outpatient imaging facility May require standing for long periods and assisting patients with mobility Exposure to controlled radiation environments with safety protocols in place.
