A full-time opportunity is available for an Ophthalmologist to serve as the primary provider within a rural hospital setting. This role offers a unique opportunity to build and shape ophthalmology services while delivering comprehensive eye care to the community. Responsibilities:
Diagnose and treat a wide range of eye conditions and diseases
Provide comprehensive ophthalmologic care, including medical and surgical management
Perform procedures such as cataract surgery and other ophthalmic interventions
Manage pre-operative and post-operative patient care
Serve as the primary ophthalmology provider within the facility
Collaborate with healthcare staff and support teams to ensure continuity of care
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a community-focused setting
Contribute to the development and growth of ophthalmology services
Requirements:
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Completion of an accredited Ophthalmology residency program
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Ophthalmology
Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license
DEA certification
Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently
Commitment to patient-centered care and community engagement
