About

Certified Sterile Processor This is a 13-week contract position. 5x8.0 - Evenings, weekends, holidays, on call/callback per unit needs. The Department of Sterile and Materials Processing is a state-of-the-art facility focused on the decontamination, high-level disinfection, sterilization, and distribution of clean and sterile surgical instruments. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and strict adherence to established protocols. Responsibilities
Inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instrument pans, procedural trays, and surgical case carts. Operate steam sterilizers and assure instruments meet sterility standards through regular checks and documentation. Decontaminate surgical instruments and handle infectious waste according to established protocols. Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure conformity with operational specifications. Receive and store supplies, maintaining accurate inventory records and par levels. Perform quality assurance checks on all sterile supplies and instruments.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Certified Sterile Processor (HSPA or CBSPD) BLS certification from the American Heart Association A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Certified Sterile Processor in a large hospital setting (500 beds or more) Travel experience of at least 6 months Two professional references from the last two assignments
